Domineering attitude is one of the reasons why some girls marry late. Domineer means “to rule over in a harsh or arrogant way”. It also means “to tyrannize”. 

A domineering girl has the attitude of ruling over her fiancé in a harsh or arrogant way. A domineering girl has a tendency of inquiring into her fiancé’s movements and finances. She tells her fiancé whom to give money and who should not be given. She wants her husband- to- be to do whatever she says. She wants her fiancé to tell her every bit of his income and expenditure. A domineering girl has an attitude of instigating her fiancé to stop paying school fees for his siblings. She likes her fiancé to let her know the type of clothes he should buy for his parents, siblings and relations. 

A domineering girl places her words as the final word in every discussion and that must be carried out by her fiancé. If her fiancé goes contrary to her dictates, she will keep away from communicating with her fiancé until her decision is done. She influences her fiancé on how to relate with his old and new friends. She is a “sniffing dog” that finds out whom and who is cheating her fiancé or not. 

Her presence directly separates her fiancé from his immediate family, relations and friends. She has an insinuating spirit and adopts a deceptive posture. 

You will know a domineering girl once her fiancé refuses to accept her offers, she goes into nagging and refuses even to cook food for her fiancé. You see her talking in a derogatory tone against her fiancé and all that have to do with him. A domineering girl is dangerous because she kills and runs away. 

The following story buttresses the fact that a domineering girl can lead to the death of her fiancé even before the real marriage is contracted.

”Nkechi met Morgan at a hotel bush bar early October, 2004.She was dating Morgan with the intention that Morgan will marry her before December 2004.One Sunday in October 2004, Nkechi visited Morgan’s house uninvited. She came into Morgan’s house when he was cooking and took over the cooking. After that, Morgan gave her his picture album to watch. There and then she condemned most of the people in the pictures for not being beautiful. That afternoon, Bonny, a friend of Morgan visited him. Morgan introduced Nkechi to Bonny. During their discussion concerning a business deal, Nkechi openly said that Morgan will not participate in the business. The two friends looked at each other and kept quiet. Eventually Bonny left after one hour's discussion with Morgan. Morgan accepted to contribute 60% of the money needed for the business. Nkechi told Morgan that Bonny who has been Morgan’s friend for up to five years was a cheat. She insinuated that Morgan should not put his contribution of the money into the business deal. When time came, Bonny and others committed their own monies but Morgan declined. This led to a serious quarrel between the friends. The friends got annoyed and decided to kill Morgan for agreeing and withdrawing at the dying minute when they have committed huge sums of money. Nkechi insisted that Morgan should not release his own quota. His friends tried to pull out their monies but the process of the deal swallowed their monies. Had Morgan contributed, they are bound to make huge profits after recovery of their monies. 

On 30^th of December, 2004, Morgan was going to his business office when gun men suspected to be hired assassins from his angry friends gunned him down. Barely three weeks after his burial,Nkechi was found dating Ferdinand one of the friends of her late fiancé .Ferdinand had promised to marry Nkechi that December, but he did not know her to be Late Morgan’s fiancée  .Eventually when Ferdinand was told by friends that Nkechi was his late friend’s girl, he stopped all marriage processes he had commenced, because of the role played by Nkechi that took the life of Morgan”. 

This story shows that no man likes to die at the hand of a domineering girl, except people like Morgan. The sickness called domineering attitude can kill men and also be a hindrance to proposed marriages. When suitors discover that they are at a risk, for keeping a domineering girl, they run without looking back.
